The New York State Department of Transportation will close both left lanes heading eastbound and westbound on I-84 from 8 p.m. to 5 a.m. between Sunday, Aug. 30 and Thursday, Sept. 17, weather permitting.
The eastbound closure will be from the Connecticut state line and Exit 21. Westbound motorists can expect a left-lane closure between Exit 19 and the Connecticut state line. There will be no lane closures during Labor Day weekend.
The state department of transportation reminds drivers to be mindful of their surroundings and that speeding fines are doubled in work zones. Multiple offenses could result in a suspended license.
